It was made so apparent on Saturday, just how loved Morgan was, and always will be.
The owner of Yats, the local cajun restaurant chain catered the event and personally delivered the food and served it to the guests himself. What an amazing guy. He is a friend of Morgan's fathers and was obviously happy to oblige. He just made me a patron and supporter of Yats for life! Almost everyone also brought a side dish or drinks or desserts for everyone to enjoy.
Tracy Manheim, one of Morgan's beloved cousins, made everyone beautiful memorial bracelets in all different styles and colors out of leather twine and punched metal reading Morgan's initials. Not only did she travel all the way from Manhattan to be there for her family, but she came bearing gifts as well. All of the nephews and Morgan's two daughters were given personalized bracelets in a jade color. All of the boys are wearing their bracelets today, and will wear them for as long as we can keep them on them. I even grabbed one for Hannah, Doc & Maxwell's sister, who wasn't there Saturday, but probably wanted to be and was Morgan's one and only niece. I'm also wearing my bracelet today, and will always wear it. When the leather breaks (as I expect it to someday,) I will buy something else to wear the pendant on.
Morgan's father Doc brought a huge statue out in Morgan's honor to place in his yard. It is a bronze angel and stands about 5 feet tall and is absolutely beautiful. It is such a great way to mark her rememberance.
We love you Morgan, Always & Forever...
