We had an awesome weekend! Friday night was low-key, just hung out at home with the kids, had a quick dinner and put everyone to bed - I'm always wiped out after the work week. Saturday was picture day! We got everyone dressed up and met our amazing photographer Alana (http://www.alanasheetsphotography.com/) at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, a gorgeous venue for photos, weddings, events, etc. I figured we'd get a maximum of 30 minutes out of the kids for photos, and that was about the time allowance they gave us. It's so funny because Maxwell would be fine, and Jamyn would be fine, but Jackson would be acting up. Then Jackson would be fine and Jamyn would be fine, and Maxwell would act up. We probably have a very small amount of pictures that came out with everyone smiling, but oh well - it's definitely to be expected.
When we got home, we all changed clothes and fed the little kids and put them to bed and then Doc, Doc Thomas and I went out for dinner. Jackamo's Pizza (http://www.jackamopizza.com/) is our new favorite pizza place. They have amazing food, great servers, and a cool atmosphere. I especially love their patio which is adorable and perfect for a spring evening in Indy. I am such a gourmet pizza fan, but am so sick of the usual...especially Bazbeaux, which I think has literally the worst service of nearly every local restaurant in Indy. Hilarious moment of the night...Doc Thomas was telling a VERY expressive story and knocked my full glass of diet coke over. Both Docs thought I was going to be so mad, but it was actually kind of funny. Especially because it was the first time that I'd worn the WHITE jeans I'd just bought from Abercrombie. Yes...white jeans, and diet coke. It looked discusting, lol!
After dinner, we headed to the theatre for the newest Pirates of the Carribean movie, 'On Stranger Tides'. It was seriously the best of all of them - I absolutely loved it. Definitely one of those movies where you are on the edge of your seat, and by the end, you are ready to watch it all over again. Johnny Depp is so incredibly talented, and although I believe he receives a lot of respect in his industry - I don't think he gets enough credit for his famous Jack Sparrow character. Worst part of the night was the fact that I mistakenly ate some of Doc's popcorn...which I should know better than to do. I honestly don't eat food like that anymore - since I've had my kids. For whatever reason, my stomach cannot digest junk like that. Which is great for maintaining my "girlish figure ;)" but not so great if you're craving tasty crappy food! So...that being said, I got horribly sick and ended the night in the bathroom :( boo. Oh well, it was still a great weekend!
