In no way shape or form is this a fashion blog...I'll definitely leave that up to the experts. Especially my high school friend Maggie Connor, whose blog will blow your mind if fashion is your thing, (
http://www.thehautehoosier.blogspot.com/). However...I AM a shoe girl...and its spring - so of course there are millions of adorable shoes out there from espidrilles to pumps, wedges to gladiators. I'm going to have a tough time resisiting this year. I've already picked up two pairs of new kicks from Von Maur about a month ago; a pair of 4 1/2 inch Jessica Simpson espidrilles as well as a cute pair of Steve Madden gladiators, brown leather with gold accents, especially around the heels. Yes, not the most fabulous of brands, but fabulous for me! I have a few pairs of great designer heels, but not nearly enough. By the way...I am actually very impressed with Jessica's shoes. I also own a pair of jeans from her new denim line and am diggin' their wash and fit like you wouldn't believe! Way to go J.Simpson! You absolutely suck as a singer and an actress, and made women all over America ashamed of you in your reality show with Nick Lachey - but as far as celebrity designers go - you are surprisingly impressive!
However, that being said, IF I were a rich girl, I wouldn't even look twice at Jessica Simpson's line, and definitely not Steve Madden. Let's be honest. There great shoes, and then there are REALLY.GREAT.SHOES. In this post, I'll feature one from the Spring 2011 line in hopes that those who read my blog (a tiny little group of people out there,) can appreciate these gorgeous works of art half as much as I do. And PS...this may become a Friday theme - shoes on Friday...yeah, sounds good to me.

Oh.my.Valentino. What a gorgeous shoe. These babies scream 'powerhouse professional'. How perfectly would these pair with a fitted white button down long sleeve shirt, tucked into a satin shin-length pencil skirt. Very elegant, but what a strong statement at the same time. I'll take these please! Size 7 1/2!
Valentino, Neiman Marcus, $1195.00 And for the record...just in case my boyfriend sees this - I would NOT spend eleven-hundred bucks on shoes...so don't flip out! But you can't deny...they are some pretty shoes.
